Edo Romano

Managing Director

Edo’s career began in 1973 at Banca Unione di Credito, where he gained ample experience in Private Banking through roles of increasing responsibility and experiences abroad. In 1987 he opened the Lugano branch of Yamaichi Bank (Switzerland), where he is Director and Branch Manager. He has been a member of the Raffeisen Bank of Magliasina, Caslano, Board of Directors form 1991 to 2015. In 2000, he founded Taurus Asset Management SA.

Mauro Pennati

Co-director and asset manager

Mauro has been a Partner in Taurus since January 1st, 2019. He joined the company in October 2004 as Co-Director, after having developed a rich experience in consulting and private client management working for Swiss Bank Corporation (SBS, now UBS) first in the German and French-speaking parts of Switzerland, and then in London from 1986 to 1988. He remains active in Private Banking at various institutions in Lugano, such as SBS, Yamaichi Bank (Switzerland), BNP Paribas, and Credit Suisse (as Vice Director).

Camillo Sessa

Co-director and asset manager

Camillo joined Taurus in September 2017 as Co-Director after thirty-four years at BNP Paribas, where he held roles of increasing responsibility. He has been a member of the Executive Board and has an extensive, decade-long experience in Private Banking as an advisor.

Paolo Calastri

Co-director and asset manager

Paolo joined Taurus in August 2017 as Co-Director and became a Partner on January 1st, 2019. He entered the world of Private Banking after having gained experience as a trader at various institutions both in Lugano and Zurich. Since 1983 he has worked at Banca Unione di Credito, Citicorp Zurich, Banca Popolare Svizzera, Banque CIAL, Credito Privato Commerciale, Liechtensteinische Landesbank and PKB Privatbank. During his career he has acquired extensive knowledge in sophisticated investment solutions.

Mattia Suira

Co-director and asset manager

Mattia joined Taurus on January 1st, 2019 as Partner and Co-Director. After graduating in economics and banking, he built his career as a client advisor until he became Vice Director of Private Banking first at UBS AG, then at Credit Suisse AG and PKB Privatbank AG. In January 2015 he decided to continue his activity as an external advisor at SWIX Family Office AG, where he re-united with several ex-colleagues and took the position of Vice Director. SWIX became a strategic partner of Taurus in autumn 2018.

Gianluca Panareo

Assistant Vice President

Gianluca joined Taurus in February 2014 as a Compliance Officer and Risk Manager. He obtained a Master’s degree in Political Science at the University of Milan and began his career in the luxury goods industry. He joined the finance sector in 2007, starting at the Lugano branch of Unicredit (Suisse) before moving on to other local institutions.

Alessia Gianinazzi

Assistant manager

Alessia joined Taurus in September 2009; today she is head of administrative services and has been appointed Branch Manager (Procuratrice di Banca) in 2018. After completing her studies at the SCC of Bellinzona, she attended professional training courses at the Villa Negroni Study Centre.

Ylenia Tamagni

Assistant

Ylenia joined Taurus in September 2018 after completing her studies at SCC Bellinzona. She works in the administrative sector and provides support to the customer advisors.
